It is getting harder to shop at grocery because the price is getting higher and higher. The smart housewife hold a coupon book when they shopping. There are 30% off on meats, buy one get one free of milk, or even short-term 50% off on fruits. Mrs. Kim Seung-Ock, who lives in Songpa bought 11 items and 9 of them are on sales or event products. She said, about 100,000 won is more charged on food expenses compare to 3 months ago. According to GS Mart, the rate of using coupons is increasing. It already reaches 58% and it is twice more than September (30%) last year. The rate of "Owl Family" is also keep growing. They come to grocery at late evening like 8-10 p.m. to buy clearance sales goods like breads, fishes, or vegetables. The groceries like E-Mart, Lotte Mart, and GS Mart are planning to increase more coupons and sale events to attract the customers.

Opinion.
I also like to use coupons or discount cards. When we talked about coupons in class, the professor gave an example of casino. They are sending coupons to customers who would not use it but come and spend their money. I was the one who did not want to use coupons because it kind of was shameful to me. However, when I forgot to bring coupons, I won't even thinking to buy unless I really need it. The middle-age men like my father also change their attitude toward coupons. They were shy to use coupons before, but they cannot ignore the discount in these days. Since, many people use coupons on their purchase, the companies other than groceries should consider the coupons as one of the profit.
